Compsey Creamery is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ireland’s longest-established farmer co-operative, Mullinahone Co-op (established in 1893). Our suppliers are at the core of our business and have been since our inception. We manufacture a range of cream cheeses, soft cheeses, soured creams, and yogurts, all of which are, made from grass fed cow’s milk.
Compsey Creamery commenced manufacturing in 1985 to add value to the milk produced by the co-op’s dairy farmers and at the same time create employment in the local area. Today, the business employs twenty full-time staff producing, premium cream cheese, sour cream, soft cheese, and yogurt products for both foodservice and manufacturing clients.
With over 35 years of cheese-making experience, Compsey’s dedicated team are experts in the efficient production of a branded dairy portfolio with a strong focus on product consistency and quality. All milk used in production is sourced from Bord Bia Sustainability and Quality Assured farms and Compsey Creamery is a member of Bord Bia's Origin Green Sustainability program. Irish and International customers are at the heart of Compsey’s business, leading to partnerships on research and development, product innovation, and new product development projects to service the marketplace.
