Alt Liquour Co (Formerly – The Limerick Distillery Company Ltd)

This is a distillery at due-diligence stage. Principals based in San Francisco and Limerick. Tony (SF) -Acccountant with Google, Alice (SF) - former Brand Manager with PR, Liam (Ire) - Architect, Michael (Ire) - Consultant Pediatrician. The four are friends, all passionate about whiskey. Mindful that there are no distilleries in Limerick, they are keen to create a business that will contribute to tourism and employment. Working with LEO, who provided a feasability grant (these are typically €5k to €10k. Aspire to building a facility 'similar in capacity to Teeling', ca. 270k ltr with capability to expand to 1m Ltr. Investment to date limited to matching the finding from LEO.

Limerick whiskey and Limerick city share a bold and bright character. Creatives here are finding colour in the old grimness and painting over the city’s cracks in technicolour! Inspired by this, we’re doing unexpected, bold, creative things that whiskies don’t normally do. We’re adopting a lifestyle first brand approach, supported by quality liquid.

Limerick Whiskey is a classic, straight up blended Irish whiskey - aged in bourbon casks and finished in sherry casks and rye casks (a highly novel finish in Irish Whiskey but a popular flavour profile in North America). That all sounds fancy, but this is an unfussy quality whiskey from an unfussy quality place.
